Because companies thrive off of cashing in on bad ideas. However, I'm sure it might have some kind of audience if they have about 20 of these games on the current gen consoles.

SBox is wrong.
It's not that the bad ideas are being cashed in. It's a strategic move. More than 90% of games are geared towards boys/men. By making a game (even a sucky one) hooking on an already dominating sister act, you get a game that caters to 100% of tween girls (and stalkers, unfortunately) and you have a company that gets ALL the profit.
Even if these tween girls aren't buying consoles, a lot of them have brothers...
It's sad, but true. You may not agree with it, but it makes loads of money.
