Will renters be able to play for free online?

Yes, you can play online with rental games as long as you have an internet connection and psn or xbl account. I can't see Gamefly restricting online, that would be somewhat cruel lol. But games that have an online pass are a different story. You would need to buy the game. And Soul Calibur V doesn't have an online pass.

You can play online if you have wifi connected to your Xbox 360, like if you have Xbox Live. But if it requires an online pass, then you won't be able to play online with other people. Like SBox180 said, Gamefly has no control over the whole online pass thing, so they can't offer online play with rentals that require an online pass. But games like Black Ops and MW3 that don't need online passes you will be able to play online on them. And since Soul Calibur V does not require an online pass for online play, you will be able to play online most likely. Hope this helps!!!!

I've played games that I have rented online before, you won't however be able to play if it needs an online pass, hope this helps!
