SBox Recommends #4: Crash of the Titans/Mind Over Mutant

Now let me just say I LOVE the Crash Bandicoot series. It was the first game I ever played besides Pac-Man. But, please don't consider me biased because of this.

Crash of the Titans/Mind Over Mutant (PS2, Wii, DS, 360, PSP, PS3) are the 2 latest additions to Crash Bandicoot. These games took a new route with the franchise. Both games involve the concept of controlling monsters (Titans/Mutants) to go through the levels. Similarity between these games and the previous is very slim with the collection of mojo, the abilities to glide, punch and kick, and the game design amongst other changes. Still the changes mean little to the game in general. The mutants are creative and fun to use. However, the boss battles and comedy is where the games shines most.

These games are decent overall. I like most find that this isn't where the franchise should go, but it makes for a good spin-off series. If you take away the fact that it's a Crash game, the games are okay. It warrants a rental at least.

That game was awesome! Many people would think it is a huge step backward from the Crash series, but oh no. It was a step forward to me. I finally get to punch, glide, kick, and not just spin all over the place over and over. Controlling the monsters was the funnest part. I bought both and it was worth it. I still go back and play them once in a while.
