Dead Island is a fun game for a decent amount of time. At times it is a little glitchy still even after the patch, but that also is because the copy i own if for ps3 and thats a whole conversation on its own. In my opinion its not worth 60 dollars, either rent it on here or wait until it becomes more around 30 dollars. It does keep you entertained for hours killing zombies so its definitely worth a play.

  2. its a really good game i bought a copy at gamestop.And where i live they where all sold out in about a 30 miles radius. It depend if you like killing zombies, Alot of zombies.lol

  3. It's pretty good, has really good 1st person melee combat. Things have a real sense of weight behind them. A lot of the side quests are kind of bland, but they still work to keep the game moving.

  5. I believe this is one of the most fun Post Apoc Zombie games based on the ability to Mod your weapons to be a 1 man zombie wrecking crew and the story is really fun, trust me (someone who has played the ENTIRE game) THIS GAME IS WELL WORTH THE $60 buy.

  7. It was fun the first playthrough but now im a 41 and the zombies are 38-40s and kill me in about 3 hits so its really flustering dying and losing a ton of money,i lost 12k in less than 5 min towards the end of act 1, but its worth a rental.

  8. I just beat the game last night. And i must say that it is a much better game than people give it credit for. Its a good 12-15 hours of gameplay if you dont try to beat it in record time. And after you beat it, you can play it again with the same character from the start but keep your level and weapons, Which is fun playing again too cause all the enemies scale to your level.

  12. Dead Island is one of the few games I got Platinum Trophy on because I played it all Co-op.

    A game like dead island is really made to play with other people, preferably friends. The story is throw away, the characters are generic, the weapons are nice but not enough variety, the game is super large and a long one at that.

    But there is something they did right. When you play it co-op and your going around getting some awesome kills that are just a gory joy to watch and share on the spot moments, where the game is really fun.

    If you are looking for a well made game, you are in the wrong place. But if you just want something to have fun with friends for some reason that I really can't figure out DI delivers in spades.

    So I would say solo it is rather mediocre, but in mulitplayer there is real value there and just enough to make you want to see it through to the end.

  13. It's been in my Q now since it's release but still nothing. So I did what was natural, I went to my friends house and played his copy! Needless to say it left me wanting to play more so I will be happy once my copy finally comes but I'm not dying to play it like I was. And any game that leaves me wanting more, is a good game in my book. Co-oping was a definite plus, one of the funnest, new titled, co-op featured games I have played for a while now. If your wanting to play it on your own, I'd say just wait patiently and wait for a rental to be freed up. But if you are dying to play or feel you and a friend could play this twice over, Amazon has the lowest price for a new copy going at $45.99 and buying it from there gives you free shipping as well.
